Have you ever wondered what the benefits are of playing with your dog? Or why or how dogs decide they want to engage in play another dog? Do you know what sorts of factors influence your dog’s willingness or interest in different types of play? Researchers at the OSU Human-Animal Interaction lab want to know too! We are seeking healthy, playful dogs to participate in this line of research. For most of our studies, your dog can participate from the comfort of your own home, but on occasion, we may ask that you bring your dog on campus to participate. Although we plan to include dogs of all breeds and mixes, currently, we are especially interested in livestock guarding dogs, herding dogs, retrievers, and terriers especially from working lines – including those that do or do not have direct working experience.
