Using a One Health approach, we advance healthier human–animal relationships through evidence-based research, hands-on education, and community partnerships.
Our Animal-Assisted Intervention work explores how positive training can support children in strengthening their bond with the family dog or the family cat.

Our cat research investigates cognition, social behavior, and the cat–human bond, including sensitivity to human attention and the value many cats place on social contact.
Our dog research investigates the formation of attachment bonds between humans and dogs, as well as canine cognition and sociability.
